Tower of God chapter 626 recap: Enkidu demands the truth from Traumerei

Tower of God chapter 626 begins with Enkidu asking Traumerei to admit his sins and finally confess that he was the one behind Ameuz’s death. The name “Ameuz” triggers Traumerei’s memory, and he starts to remember her as the creature he looked for in his dreams. Juri takes advantage of the confusion to escape, but she still has her eyes on the king in Enkidu’s hand.

Traumerei tells Enkidu that the latter was the one who killed Ameuz. Enkidu is stunned at his denial and cannot believe he would still act so pompous. Traumerei tells Enkidu that all that matters is who controls the truth, claiming feelings or the truth do not matter. Enkidu and Julian try to threaten Traumerei with the king in their possession, but he remains unbothered. The chapter then reveals that Hollan had snatched his piece and betrayed him.

Hollan revels in his success, happy to see someone like Traumerei in a situation he can’t control. He expresses anger at the fact that Traumerei had always seen them as disposable chess pieces.
