Travis Barker Reveals the Real Reason He Played Drums During Son Rocky Thirteen's Birth

Kourtney Kardashian Barker and her husband Travis Barker are already raising a little rockstar.

In this week's episode of The Kardashians, the Poosh founder, 45, and her rockstar husband, 48, shared the surprising sound that calmed Kardashian Barker down while she was in labor with their son Rocky Thirteen.

As the couple headed out to the hospital, the mom of four said in a confessional, "Travis brought his practice drum kit," adding, "and how special to be drumming to his son's heartbeat."

Not only did Kardashian Barker say it was special that Barker could drum using the baby's heartbeat as a metronome, but it was also helpful for the Lemme co-founder.

"The drumming sound is super relaxing and calming to me," she said to the cameras. "Like, I heard it my whole pregnancy, I would fall asleep to it."

"This baby’s heard a metronome a lot, babe. He’s going to have great timing," the proud dad joked.

Kardashian Barker's delivery was a music-filled event. After using drums to create calm vibes, the couple revealed in the same episode that they strictly listened to Frank Sinatra during the actual delivery of their baby.

Barker was the one who initially picked out the artist, and even his wife found the rockstar's decision to be a surprise.

"Right when Travis started playing music, I think he felt that he was gonna have these rock vibes, " she said in a confessional. "And then right when he went to select the music, he went for some Frank Sinatra."

"We listened only to Frank Sinatra during the birth," Kourtney later told the cameras.

On Father's Day this year, Kourtney gave a special shout-out to her husband, sharing a few photos of Barker and their 7-month-old son lounging around and exploring a beach.

"Happy Father’s Day @travisbarker,” she wrote in her caption. “Beyond grateful for the Dad that you are to our baby boy, and all of our kids."

"You keep us safe and protected and take care of us. Having a family with you is heaven," she continued. "Happy to celebrate you!"
