Travis Kelce knows that he and Taylor Swift broke the internet over the weekend. And he’s loving it.

In a new episode of his podcast New Heights (which he hosts with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end spoke about the music superstar’s surprise appearance at the Chiefs-Bears game on Sunday, where she was seen sitting in his family’s suite, next to his mother, Donna Kelce.

“Shout out to Taylor for pulling up, that was pretty ballsy,” Travis Kelce said, after prodding from his brother, Jason, who said “the internet broke, social media broke” when Swift appeared during Fox’s broadcast.

“I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her, the friends and family,” Travis Kelce added. “She looked amazing. Everybody was talking about her in a great light and on top of that, you know, the day went perfect for Chiefs fans. We script it all, ladies and gentlemen. It was just impressive.”

Fox’s broadcast from Kansas City frequently showed footage of Swift reacting to the game, including her yelling “let’s f*cking go” after Kelce scored a touchdown and her chest-bumping a person in the suite.

“To see the slow motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with mom, to see how Chiefs kingdom was all excited that she was there, that shit was absolutely hysterical,” Kelce said. “And it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for damn sure. And then we just slid off in the getaway car at the end … flying around, breaking all the speed limits. Shout out to Taylor for coming through and see me rock the stage.”

Rumors of Swift and Kelce dating go back to July when Kelce, on another episode of the podcast, told a story about attending her Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium (where the Chiefs play) and trying unsuccessfully to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number.

“I know, I brought all this attention to me, right? I’m the one that did the whole friendship bracelet thing and you know, told everybody how butt hurt I was that I didn’t get to meet Taylor,” he said.

He also suggested that it may have been Chiefs head coach Andy Reid who played a role in connecting the pair. Kelce said Reid had met the Swift family when he was coaching the Philadelphia Eagles.

“[He’s been] telling people he’s cupid and that he’s been manifesting this the whole time,” Kelce said. “Who knew cupid was so big.”

However, he added that this is likely the last time he will be addressing Swift on the show, preferring instead to discuss football in future episodes.

“What’s real is that it is my personal life, and I want to respect both of our lives, and she’s not in the media as much as I am doing this show every single week and you know, having fun during the NFL season on other guys shows like, like [The Pat] McAfee Show,” Kelce said, adding that moving forward he will be talking sports, not Swift.

“I’m enjoying life,” he added to end the segment. “And I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend.”
