"I thought I’d be like a cute pregnant girl. I was like, ‘Can’t wait to get pregnant, I’m gonna have a like a little basketball [bump].’ No," Longoria said.

Ana Navarro has revealed the unique reason why she was especially happy when pal Eva Longoria was expecting her first child.

“I was looking up pictures of your baby shower and those are my favorite months of you because you were fatter than me,” The View panelist told Longoria on Friday’s episode as the audience began to laugh.

The Desperate Housewives actress, who gave birth to her son Santiago in 2018, didn’t appear to take Navarro’s comment that she got “huge” during her pregnancy to heart. “I was so big, I know!” she exclaimed. “I was so big. I thought I’d be like a cute pregnant girl. I was like, ‘Can’t wait to get pregnant, I’m gonna have a like a little basketball [bump].’ No!”

In actuality, Longoria had a very different experience. “My ears got fat,” she said. “Everything blew up.”

And Navarro made sure to chronicle the moment so she could always look back on it. “I was so happy,” she said as she shook her fists. “I love all those pictures.”

Longoria teased, “Ana kept going, ‘Let’s take a picture! Let’s take a picture!’”

The Flamin’ Hot director also took a moment to reflect on what her son, who recently celebrated his sixth birthday, has taught her over the years.

“Patience,” she teased. “No, everything. Prioritizing, because before he was born, I was like the center of my universe and now that he is here, he’s the center of my world."

She added that it’s also become “so much easier to say no” these days in favor of spending time with her little one. “People always go, ‘It must be so hard to balance work and life,’ and I’m like, ‘No, it’s so easy because I can say no.’”
