Real quick, before you start reading the rest of this post, please envision your happy place. Maybe it's a beach at sunrise where the waves are softly lapping at the cool sand, or maybe it's quiet room that's air conditioned just enough to keep you cool (but not too much to require a sweater). Think of this happy place, whatever it may be, and hold on to it. Take a deep breath.

Feeling calm?

Great.

Namaste.

Now buckle up and brace yourself to read some of the worst incidences of mansplaining that have ever occurred. Inspired by a tweet from Nicole Froio, women have been sharing the most obvious things a man has ever mansplained to them, and oh my god, they are the tweet equivalent of repeatedly scratching your nails on a chalkboard.

The stories women shared are ... simultaneously as bad and worse than you might imagine.

Don't know how to say your own last name? A man can help.

Unsure how to breastfeed that baby you birthed that's also currently being breastfed? No worries! Men are here.

Suddenly black out and forget how to do the most basic task associated with your area of expertise? No sweat, a man will assist.

(This is a recurring theme, actually.)

Did you think you knew your own body pretty well? Guess again!

Or maybe you had a series of tiny strokes and need help doing an incredibly simple thing that you're very much capable of doing. Well, you're in luck, because men are excellent at explaining menial tasks to women.

Do you feel dizzy? Do you need to lie down? This is a good time to go back to your happy place, which is hopefully a location where there are no men to pop in and explain very minuscule things to you. But if you're ready for more of this nonsense, take a peep at the incredibly necessary Twitter moment dedicated to this mansplaining thread - or, as I like to call it, the Museum of Mansplaining.
