Watch “Amazing Race ”teammates debate who is the faster racer
The Amazing Race is all about teamwork. You can be the speediest runner, the most fearless adventurer, and the smartest puzzle solver — but if your teammate is lacking, that can — and most likely, will — sink your chances of victory. Which is why you need cohesion. You need compassion. And you need a well-oiled, fully functioning unit. Turns out it doesn't just take two to tango, but two fully committed and talented teammates to win the CBS reality competition… which may, by the way, include a tango competition at some point.
But rather than celebrating the team-first approach that it takes to win The Amazing Race, we decided to pit the pairs of season 35 (which premieres Sept. 27 on CBS) against each other by asking each duo who was the fastest racer between them. So that's exactly what we did.

Who is the anchor on each team and who is the dead weight? More importantly, who is the dead weight but has no idea they are the dead weight? Could we start some intra-team squabbling before the Race even began? That was certainly our goal. Watch the video above to see if we succeeded in our mission of tearing teams apart, or if they rose above our divisive, chaos-inducing questioning to prove they indeed have what it takes to win the million dollars.
