Watch Queen Latifah Back That Thang Up On Janelle Monáe At OUTLOUD Music Fest For Pride

Janelle Monáe headlined the OUTLOUD Music Festival in West Hollywood this weekend in celebration of Pride, bringing along a few celebrity friends as she hit the stage.

During her set, the “Lipstick Lover” songstress brought out actress Gabrielle Union and multi-hyphenate Queen Latifah, telling the crowd, “I want my sisters out here. We gonna walk this runway together. Legends. Legends. Period.”

New Jersey-native Latifah had a little fun with Monáe by backing that thang up on the Kansas City rep, dropping a light twerk on the star as Union two-stepped to Monáe’s left.

“I love you,” Monáe said twice, pointing at the two screen stars. “We love you. Say y’all love ’em!”

She later took to Twitter to add, “I love us and this so damn much. Happy PRIDE!!! @itsgabrielleu @IAMQUEENLATIFAH.”

Fellow OUTLOUD headliners included Kesha and Kylie Minogue, with Big Freedia, Doechii, Keke Palmer, Macy Gray, and more also hitting the stage in celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community. Even actress Niecy Nash performed with wife Jessica Betts, with the couple sharing an on-stage smooch that left the crowd swooning.
