WATCH: Zooey Deschanel Shows How ‘Excited’ Fiancé Jonathan Scott Gets Before a Home Depot Run

The ‘New Girl’ alum shared a glimpse inside her daily routine with the ‘Property Brothers’ star in a funny TikTok on Friday

Jonathan Scott might love Home Depot just as much as he loves his fianceé Zooey Deschanel.

In a hilarious TikTok posted by the New Girl alum on Friday, Scott appears to be overjoyed as the couple get ready to visit the famous home store. Just as Deschanel, 43, starts to put on her shoes, her new fiancé comes dancing over while singing along to a viral TikTok sound.

“More footwork, more passion, more energy,” Scott, 45, mouths along to the audio as Deschanel stares at the camera with a confused look on her face.

In the caption, the actress asks her followers: “Can you tell which one of us is excited?”

After four years of dating, the Property Brothers star officially popped the question to his longtime girlfriend during a family trip to Scotland in August, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed.

On the big day, Deschanel’s two children — daughter Elsie, 8, and son Charlie, 6 — helped their soon-to-be stepfather with the special moment. Deschanel shares the two with her ex Jacob Pechenik.

Scott and Deschanel later confirmed their engagement on social media with a joint Instagram post that showed them smiling in front of the rugged Scottish scenery as the actress showed off her unique ring. “Forever starts now!!! 🥰♾️🥰,” they captioned the photo.

Proposing in Scotland was Scott’s way of giving a special nod to his heritage, as his father, Jim, emigrated from Scotland to Canada as a teen. For his twin brother Drew’s wedding in 2018, he even wore a kilt alongside his brother on the big day.

While Jonathan and Deschanel are officially a newly engaged couple, the pair have already taken a big step in their relationship when they purchased their Los Angeles dream home together back in June 2020.

The pair spent two years renovating the five-bedroom abode and unveiled the remodel in the June 2022 issue of Drew and Jonathan's magazine, Drew + Jonathan Reveal. Dubbed Park House, the 1938 build features a number of impressive attributes, from the stunning glass-ceiling solarium to the funky wallpaper that adorns the walls.

In March, Scott opened up to PEOPLE about what it was like to renovate the historic home with his then-girlfriend.

"She has incredible taste, so she picked a lot of the finishes and the wallpapers and things like that," Jonathan told PEOPLE of Deschanel. During the renovation process, he focused on construction while she took on the role of interior designer.

"I've never in my life trusted somebody else to make any design decisions in my house," he continued. "So when we were doing it for our house, it was nerve-wracking, but she's incredible."
