Connecticut police officer Alex Iurato was one of three police officers who responded to a domestic disturbance call that turned out to be an ambush in late October. He was the only one of the three to survive that ambush.

Suspect Nicholas Brutcher was shot and killed by Iurato after he himself sustained a gunshot wound. WWE was in Hartford late last month and presented Iurato with a WWE Championship belt for his heroics. Liv Morgan, Braun Strowman and Sonya Deville were among the stars that greeted Iurato and thanked him for his bravery.

The Bristol police department posted, “WWE was in Hartford, CT recently at the XL Center and presented Bristol Connecticut Police Department Officer Alec Iurato with a belt. The WWE has been not only been a great support to our heroes LT. Dustin Demonte & SGT. Alex Hamzy’s families, but also the Bristol Connecticut Police Department. Thank you for your Support!!! We appreciate YOU!”
