The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has finally arrived, and I, for one, cannot wait to invest in a new pair of ON Running sneakers. During the epic sale, Nordy Club members can score incredible deals on best-selling brands, like ON Running, to refresh their wardrobes ahead of fall. As for why ON is top of my wishlist, the brand has been recommended to me so many times, by avid runners, gym aficionados, daily walkers, etc., that I feel its finally time I see what all the fuss is about—especially since so many top styles are included in Nordstrom’s Anniversary deals. ON Running ranks its level of cushioning as low, so if you do feel you need a higher level of support, you might want to opt for something with a higher cushion rating or nab an insole ($40) for extra padding.
2. ON Running Cloudswift Running Shoes
If you tend to run on sidewalks or in the street, this is the sneaker for you. It features ON’s proprietary Helion superfoam, which was specifically designed to help lessen the impact of running on hard surfaces. The outsole has also been shaped to help your feet naturally roll along to really ensure you receive the benefits of that super-cushy foam. Reviews suggest this style shoe is a bit narrow in the midfoot, but that it should stretch some with use, meaning you’re likely best off ordering your usual size.
3. ON Running Cloud X 3 Training Shoes
This sneaker was made for running, but the incredibly lightweight design and sleek upper make it a good shoe for just about anything—running, walking, training, hanging out at home. It weighs just 8.5 ounces and has a very responsive insole to help you feel light on your feet with plenty of bounce throughout your day. The third iteration of the Cloud X, this model is made from about 90 to 95 percent recycled materials as an added eco-friendly bonus.
