This Adidas Samba Sneaker Made in Italy Will Set You Back $350
Samba mania will continue into 2024 with a price many may consider crazy.
Adidas has released a version of the trendy sneaker that was made in Italy and will be priced at a whopping $350. Typically, the Samba retails for $100 and features construction from Southeast Asia. Adidas says this version of the Samba is the most luxurious its ever made and is inspired by Italian dress shoes.

Appearing with an all-black upper, the Samba makes use of premium Italian leather to go along with soft suede. White tongue branding maintains a muted profile, while the “Samba” mark appears with its usual gold embossing. The tan sock liner also makes use of leather, while the outsole arrives in gum.
In 2017, Adidas released another version of the Samba that was made in Germany. With a retail price of just $100, it could have been considered a steal, although the country doesn’t have the same shoemaking pedigree as Italy — and, of course, the recent Samba trend had yet to begin in earnest.
New Balance famously has a tradition of releasing special-edition sneakers made in the United States, United Kingdom, and Japan — each of which carry their own upcharges.
The Adidas Samba OG “Made in Italy” is out now through retailers including Sneakersnstuff and Concepts for $350. Adidas has yet to announce its own drop in the U.S., although some overseas sites are already carrying it.
