Aldi Is Selling $8 Lounge Shorts That Are So Similar to an Athleta Style Over 7x the Price

There are bike shorts and running shorts, which are great for movement and can be good to chill out in. But what about just plain lounge shorts—the kind that are just designated for relaxing? If you feel like you need more of that in your life (because who doesn’t?), then one of the newest Aldi Finds coming next week is going to be very exciting for you. Plus, these shorts look so much like an Athleta style 7x the price, which is always a great win.

Starting June 12 through June 18, Aldi will be selling Royal Class/Serra Men's or Ladies' Lounge Shorts for only $7.99. In terms of how they look, they’re classic drawstring shorts, with the men’s shorts having a longer inseam; the women’s shorts look like they’ll hit at the top of your thigh. These shorts are made from 89% polyester and 11% polyester, which isn’t a super “cozy” feel but should give a good stretch.

Royal Class/Serra Men's or Ladies' Lounge Shorts, $7.99 at Aldi

Whether you get the men’s shorts (by Royal Class) or the ladies’ (by Serra), they all have a drawstring in the waistband to adjust, along with side pockets. The Royal Class Men’s shorts are available in gray (in sizes M–XL) and black (in L and XL), and the Serra Ladies’ shorts come in black (in sizes M–XL) and mint (in S–XL).

Retroterry High Rise Short, $59 at Athleta

The Aldi lounge shorts look a lot like the Retroterry High Rise Short at Athleta that cost $59. They’re “breathable” shorts, made of 57% cotton, 37% polyester, and 6% spandex which is a wonderful mix for a comfy lounge short to have. They have a similar design to the Aldi shorts, just maybe a little longer inseam (which is 4 inches).

So, if you want a pair of shorts to relax in but don’t want to spend more than $10 on them, Aldi’s Royal Class/Serra Men's or Ladies' Lounge Shorts are a good pair to look at.
