You Aren’t Ready for Cardi B’s Gravity-Defying Chanel Shoes

Looks like Cardi B and Offset are heading to the Met Gala! At least that’s the vibe we’re getting from the couple stepping out in New York City ahead of the annual event—wearing Chanel no less! (Reminder: The theme this year is in honor of Karl Lagerfeld.)

Cardi and Offset’s last major red carpet appearance was at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where Cardi wore a red ruched gown with a veil and the couple exchanged some sweet kisses.

Cardi chatted about her and Offset’s relationship being in the spotlight to Elle back in 2020, saying she likes to keep things as private as possible: “I don’t really like talking about love much, but I feel like I have to do it, just because I want people to know a little bit,” she explained. “There’s always rumors about me and my husband, and I feel like people would rather start rumors because they want me to be heartbroken. They want me to be hurt.”

Cardi added that while her relationship has had some drama, “There’s a lot of love there’s a lot of passion, there’s a lot of trust, there’s a big friendship. It’s always us against the world.” And ultimately, everything ends up in her music: “If you all are so curious to know about my relationship and blah, blah, blah, I’m going to put it in the fuckin’ music, and you can buy it too. I’m not going to give it to you all for free.”
