Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Is Relaunching

It was recalled last year after failing to meet “quality standards."

Last October, Benefit Cosmetics made the decision to voluntarily recall one if its bestselling brow products, Gimme Brow, after it "did not meet [its] stringent quality standards". And while the brand maintained that "there's no risk when the product is used on brows as intended," Benefit posted a disclaimer on their site saying that the recent batches could lead to eye irritation — and not even the promise of Cara Delevingne brows are worth risking that.

Five long months later, and the San Francisco-based beauty brand is relaunching the signature volumizing brow gel — with a new and (slightly) improved formula. According to press release, Gimme Brow+ will be nearly identical to the product you know and love, but with an updated ingredient list that adheres to "the latest standards set by Benefit’s parent company LVMH". (Oh, and not to mention it'll come in brand new pink packaging in Benefit's trademark rosy hue.)

The product officially relaunches tomorrow at Benefit stores (and on their official site) as well as Sephora, Ulta Macy's, and Nordstrom. It'll retail for $24, the same price as the original formula.

If you've tried Gimme Brow for yourself, then you already know that it's an instant ticket to full, natural-looking brows...which brings us to the plus sign that's been added to the official product name. According to a Benefit representative, it's another subtle cue that that the product adds volume to your brows. We see what you did there, Benefit.
