Bucyrus High School class of 1989 to hold special tree planting

The Bucyrus High School class of 1989 will gather at 1 p.m. Friday in Aumiller Park to commemorate the life of passed classmates with a special tree planting ceremony.

The event is a tribute to honor the memory of their friends and to celebrate the enduring bonds of the Bucyrus High School class of 1989.

Aumiller Park, chosen for its serene beauty and symbolic importance, will serve as a lasting tribute to their classmates’ lives and the impact they made on the community and peers.

"We are coming together as a class to honor the memory of those classmates who left us too soon," said Dean Heid, BHS class of ’89 shaman and event organizer. "This tree planting is not just about remembering the past but also about celebrating the life and spirit of our friends, whose presence touched us all in profound ways, influenced our futures, and whom we dearly miss."

Members of the class of '89 will be joined by friends, family and members of the community who wish to pay their respects and support. The class also is donating to the Bucyrus Tree Board for its efforts in making the event happen and for providing the red oak that will be planted.
