Buena Vista Museum hosts Summer Science Enrichment program

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — It’s a chance to have some fun and learn something this summer.

The Buena Vista Museum is holding its Summer Science Enrichment program with expanded hours, happening the third Friday every month until summer ends. The first session kicked off June 21 with young scientists exploring the science behind cooking and other everyday kitchen activities.

“This time it’s kitchen science, so it’s all things you can find in your kitchen and kids can easily find to experiment,” said Executive Director of the Buena Vista Museum of Natural History and Science, Koral Hancharick. “You know, add them together and see what the cause and effect is.”

The sessions are designed for children from 1st grade up to 6th grade. They cost $30 per child.
