Cardi B and Her Team Are ‘Divided’ Over Her Nicki Minaj Diss Track
Cardi B has already recorded a song with Nicki Minaj’s ex Meek Mill that may or may not contain some material about her rival Minaj. But the unreleased song was recorded before her and Minaj’s feud really sparked at Harper’s Bazaar’s ICONS party. Since then, Cardi has recorded some new stuff on her own, and her team is "divided" over whether they want the world to hear it, TMZ is reporting.
Sources close to Cardi B say there are "serious jabs" at Minaj in the music, but some people in her team believe the lyrics would actually benefit Minaj by giving her attention. That part of the team believes Cardi should just ignore the feud since she has "eclipsed" Minaj. Cardi though is allegedly more inclined to release the Nicki diss track because rapping about real-life drama is part of her personal brand.
Regardless of what happens, Nicki Minaj (and the world) are on notice that a diss track exists. Power move.
