There are a few things Cardi B is known for—as one of the most talented rappers of this generation of course, but also for her envy-worthy manicures and never missing a beat with her red carpet style. Amongst all her iconic performances and looks, she has also proven herself to be a hair chameleon, seamlessly changing beyween dip-dyed hair, cherry cola color, bangs, blonde, rainbow, and beyond. Her most recent hair transformation, however, is one of our favorites.

While starring in Skims' newest campaign for their latest Skims Cotton Collection, the star debuted a brand new extreme copper hair color while modeling the brand's cozy pieces.

Perched on a gray pedestal in a Skims tank top and underwear combo—which was the exact same shade of gray as the set she was sitting on—her hair was precisely parted down the middle. Without a strand out of place, the 'do fell to her waist and grazed the floor. In it, two shades of copper blended together seamlessly. The darker of the two was more noticeable in streaks near her roots, but as they flowed, they became less obvious in the deep red cinnamon copper shade.

We are so in love with this color for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, shades of red are the hottest color for fall this year—manifesting in runway trends, celebrity style, the best manicures, and plenty of hair trends; which include the aforementioned extreme copper, as well as cherry cola, cowgirl copper, and straight-up bright cherry red. All those colors and more finding themselves on the likes of Dua LipaIssa RaeMegan Thee StallionJulia Fox, and Megan Fox.

"It is no surprise that cherry cola-colored hair is trending. With the '90s influence still strong in fashion, it is time for a revival of '90s color trends for hair," Ian Michael Black, Global Artistic Director for Hair Color at Aveda, previously told us. "We have seen in recent months a strong move towards all shades of red, from bright true reds through burgundies, and all shades of copper, from soft strawberry blondes to strong Irish red tones."

Any shade of red will make you stand out, but particularly this super-edgy take on the shade. "Less than 2% of the world's population has red hair, so a copper-red is definitely a bold and declarative hair color," Jamie Wiley, pro hair colorist and Global Artistic Director at Pureology, previously told us. Another plus? "It looks great on all skin tones, with the warmth of the color bringing a healthy brightness." Something we could all use as winter gets closer.
