Charlie Murray Reacts to First Ever EDR Win

The second round of the Enduro World Cup wrapped up on Friday in Bielsko-Biala Poland and boy was it tight. After a long day of racing, Charlie Murray secured the win by just .095 seconds after nearly 24 minutes of racing.

Watch Murray react in real-time to his first-ever World Cup victory below.

In Bielsko Biala, Charlie Murray took the lead after winning Stage 2 and did not let go. Hometown hero Slawomir Lukasik won the final three stages, but Murray crossed the line with a fast enough time to hold Slawek off by under a tenth of a second.

Charlie Murray has stood on multiple podiums in the past but had not won until this race. Murray was understandably ecstatic after his breakthrough win. Charlie’s rise is even more impressive considering he began mountain biking more recently as an adult.

Fans of downhill expect such tight times but in enduro that is almost unheard of.

Losing by half of a hair is the latest bit of Lukasik’s bad luck. The Pole was leading on the final stage in Finale last weekend before a flat tire took him out of contention.
