Prime Video published a new Invincible Season 2 trailer ahead of the long-awaited comic book show’s second season’s second half, and it’s essentially one giant piece of unpleasant foreshadowing. The trailer kicks off with a brief recap of how successful the season’s first half was before shifting to Mark Grayson having a not-very-good-time, at least initially.

The trailer shows Grayson, face and nose bloodied, watching a scene of destruction before eventually getting escorted to a safe place by a few giant space ant-mantis things. That sounds a little terrifying, but Grayson fits right in, soon recovers, and lends a hand around town. Or whatever you call it when you’re a group of bipedal space bugs living together.
That peace doesn’t last for long, because this is Invincible. Angstrom, the Big Bad from Season 2’s first half, is back, and his dimension-hopping powers are causing no shortage of troubles and chaos for the worlds. Pink goo, giant bugs, and seemingly possessed superheroes are just a few of the foes Grayson and the team will have to face, and while that’s more than enough for any hero to deal with, there’s something even more ominous at the end.
The trailer closes with a somber funeral scene.
Invincible Season 2 part two begins airing on March 14, 2024, with new episodes weekly until May 4, 2024. The wait for part two was a long and messy one, but producer Robert Kirkman said such a long gap won’t happen again. Kirkman and his team are writing season three already.
