Meloni always has Hargitay's back!

Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay reunited on Monday night at the 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards!

After attending the award show together, the actor shared photos on his Twitter of the duo, giving fans a glimpse of how the night escalated.

The first black-and-white photo captured Meloni and Hargitay at the beginning of the night as they posed for the camera looking as elegant as ever. Hargitay shined in a floor-length sparkling black gown that featured a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit. Meloni kept it simple with a tux and black bowtie.

The next photo revealed how their night ended, with Meloni carrying his Law & Order: Special Victims Unit co-star on his back. It seems as though Hargitay's feet hurt from the high heels, so Meloni stepped in to save the day. What a gentleman!

"How it started How it ended #Eleganceissurprisinglylight #partnerscarryingpartners #highheelcasualty" the actor captioned the post.

The duo presented the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, marking their first appearance at the award show since 2010.

While on the red carpet, Hargitay and Meloni participated in E! News' "Glambot," and from the looks of it, they may be getting a call from Dancing With the Stars sometime soon.

The host asked what pose they were going to choose for the Glambot, stating, "are we going to do a dip, a kiss?"—implying that they may attempt to appease fans of their Law & Order chemistry. Meloni jokingly replied, "No, a kiss is too much money, you can't afford us to kiss."

The duo then went in for a unique take on the dip as Meloni first grabbed Hargitay and spun her around before leaning her towards the camera. Meloni then pondered: "is the dancing with the network stars watching?"
