Cow Learns the Hard Way Never to Mess With a Small Dog With Big Attitude

It's always the smallest dogs that have the biggest attitudes. In fact, lots of small dog owners would attest that their little guys pretty much run the house. And that goes double for one Dachshund who wasn't going to let a cow passing by scare him one bit.

Really, it was the cow who had no idea what they were in for. We're sure they meant no harm when they wandered over to the dog in a video shared online.

The video was shared by the Cattlecreek Dachshunds page and shows the full-sized cow getting a rude awakening.

The poor cow was so gentle as it approached the tiny dog. But...well...let's just say the small animal wasn't really into hanging out because they snapped at the cow right-quick. The cow went in to try and investigate for a second time, but again the Dachshund snapped.

Hmmm, looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

"Small dog big attitude," the video's caption reads.

All About Dachshunds

Dachshunds aren't necessarily known for being aggressive, but they do have a stubborn side. These short, long dogs are typically known for being lively and curious. Dachshunds can be clever and have a bravery streak that gives them confidence despite their small stature. They tend to be independent thinkers but with positive reinforcement can be trained.

Most Dachshunds stay on the tiny side. Miniature Dachshunds tend to weigh about 11 pounds, while Standard Dachshunds can weigh anywhere from 16 to 32 pounds. Dachshunds typically live anywhere from 12 to 16 years and are usually healthy. However, it is common for Dachshunds to have back problems because of their elongated bodies. These risks can be mitigated with proper weight management, using a harness instead of a leash, and making sure your pup doesn't jump from high heights.

As for this little doggy, people in the comments section couldn't stop laughing at how he stood up to his much larger friend. "Them farm weenies take the confidence to a whole new level. Not up but another level," one person joked. "Dachshunds always check others like this," someone else pointed out. "I swear my Chiweenie would fight a bull," a third commenter shared. "Love this they are small giants haha," another commenter teased.

Dachshunds aren't going to let anyone mess with them — not even an animal 10 times their size.
