Detroit native debuts new ‘Food Gifts’ cookbook with 150+ recipes for perfect presents
Detroit native and "America's Test Kitchen" cast member Elle Simone Scott is out with a new cookbook: "Food Gifts: 150+ Irresistible Recipes for Crafting Personalized Presents" (America's Test Kitchen, $30).
"Food is one of the very best gifts you can give, because it's a gift of connection," writes Scott in the book. Scott's cookbook is a guide for "cooking, baking, assembling, and crafting homemade food gifts that will look as fabulous as they taste," according to the book.
It includes gift ideas for everything from celebrating holidays to welcoming a new neighbor. Scott also provides ideas on keeping food gifts fresh and using items like canning jars or cellophane bags to package food.
