Dog Who's Been at Rescue for Over a Year Keeps Watching Other Pups Get Adopted

TikTok user @mckameycenter, an animal shelter based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is sharing a heartbreaking clip of one of their furry residents. Meet Denali. This adorable 3-year-old dog is very hopeful for a forever home. In fact, it’s his new year’s resolution, which is why the shelter shared his story.
The recent clip shows Denali in his cage, watching as all the adopted dogs go by. He looks so sad and we understand why. He’s lived at that shelter the longest. Ugh, we need to change that immediately!

Poor Denali. We feel so bad that he’s been in the shelter for over a year now. Please, somebody, help him reach his new year’s resolution and find a forever home.
“There has to be someone out there with a farm who could change this puppy’s life forever. This breaks my heart,” wrote @kimaharmeyer715. And that’s why shelters are turning to social media to share the stories of their residents. Maybe Denali’s forever family doesn’t know he’s there until watching this clip!
