Dolly Parton, Beyoncé

Dolly Parton has broken her silence on how she feels about Beyoncé's switch to country.

It was first announced that the R&B-pop diva, 42, would be releasing an album devoted to the musical genre with the second installment of her project, Renaissance, in a Verizon commercial during the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11.

Several country artists have chimed in on Beyoncé's newly-unveiled first single from the piece of work, "Texas Hold 'Em," including Maren Morris, and now, the "queen of country" is speaking her piece after the Lemonade singer became the first Black woman to hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country chart.

"I'm a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she's done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can't wait to hear the full album!" Parton, 78, wrote of the major accomplishment. She signed off with her name written in script and a red heart emoji in the caption of the social media post.

In response, fans are applauding her stance on the matter.

"Another example of how Dolly treats everyone with respect 🫡," one top-liked comment read, while another couldn't contain their excitement: "DOLLY ENTERED THE CHAT AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH."

"See, this is why she’s the people’s country artist. Love you Ms. Dolly," a third wrote, as a fourth issued a message to the naysayers, writing, "If you are disagreeing with…checks notes, Dolly Parton, on what is country….maybe be more like Dolly. ❤"

Another social media account took the opportunity to campaign for a collaboration between the two artists, with "Dolly Beyoncé collab maybe? Just a thought ♥️👑," and that doesn't sound like a bad idea—fingers crossed!

Though it is not the "Crazy in Love" singer's first time creating country tunes, as she had formerly released "16 Carriages" and "Daddy Lessons," it will be her first full country project.

Beyoncé's Renaissance: Act II is due out March 29.
