There are many different holiday traditions and ways to celebrate Christmas day. Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, has her own unique Christmas celebration to share with her Popaholic fans. The derm popped a mysterious cyst that turned into a lipoma and back into a cyst for the occasion.

In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper tackles the pilar cyst located in the middle of her patient's thigh. Dr. Pimple Popper captions the Instagram post: "Merry Christmas and a Happy Sea Pod on the back of the thigh! 🎄🎁" Naturally, her pop for Christmas is a big one.

Dr. Pimple Popper initially thought the bump was a cyst. When she trimmed the surrounding tissue and got a good look at what was underneath, Dr. Pimple Popper changed her diagnosis. "This isn't a cyst, it's a lipoma or something," she says as she cuts away. As a result, she switches to squeezing.

Dr. Pimple Popper squeezes harder and harder and finally what she predicts is a lipoma gives way. However, it's actually a cyst and the contents burst out in a squiggly yellow snake. "Gosh I'm always wrong."

That's not all this cyst has stored up. Dr. Pimple Popper uses her tweezers to wiggle and free the rest of what she now believes is a pilar cyst. It finally releases and the intact pilar cyst dangles from her tweezers. The Popaholics could not contain their excitement in the comments. One shared, "It looked like a shrimp." Another fan wrote, "Missed opportunity for merry 'cystmas'." Dr. Pimple Popper's cyst removal is merry satisfying indeed.
