Dunkin' Brings the Buzz With New Spiked Beverages

It's been a summer of debuting alcoholic versions of beloved drinks, from boozy Arizona Iced Teas to spiked SunnyD. Now, Dunkin' is bringing a different kind of buzz with Dunkin' Spiked.

As reported by VinePair, the doughnut and coffee chain registered to launch a collection of alcoholic iced coffees and iced teas. It already has an active website, which teases flavors based on fan-favorite beverages.

The iced coffee will come in four flavors: Original, Caramel, Mocha, and Vanilla. The Original will feature that classic Dunkin' coffee flavor, while Caramel will have the hint of sweetness that is found in the fan-favorite iced drink. Mocha is described as being "chocolatey and approachably decadent," while Vanilla is "creamy, smooth and delightfully sweet."

Each has a 6 percent ABV and will be included in a Dunkin' Spiked Coffee Mix Pack. However, the Original is the only iced coffee flavor listed as also being available in a 12 oz. can 4-pack, as well as a 19.2 oz can single serve.

The Dunkin' Spiked Iced Teas are just as exciting: Slightly Sweet, Half & Half, Strawberry Dragonfruit, and Mango Pineapple. The Slightly Sweet one has a "bright, citrus finish," while Half & Half is "refreshingly sweet and perfectly balanced." As for the other fruity flavors, Strawberry Dragonfruit is described as "slightly sweet with bright and exotic fruit flavor" and Mango Pineapple is "slightly sweet with fresh, tropical fruit flavor."

Each spiked iced tea has a 5 percent ABV and will be included in a Dunkin' Spiked Ice Tea Mix Pack. The flavor that will be available to purchase by itself in both the 12 oz. 4-pack and the 19.2 oz can single serve is the Slightly Sweet one, which is based on the classic iced tea available at Dunkin' locations.

No release date has been announced yet, but VinePair noted that the beverages received label approval from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) in May, so hopefully Dunkin' fans will get to try these soon.

Dunkin' previously partnered with Harpoon to create beers based on its most popular coffee and donut flavors, including the Blueberry Matcha IPA, Maple Crème Blonde Ale and Midnight American Porter. However, this will be the first time the chain makes boozy drinks that replicate the exact flavors of its beverages with alcohol.
