I'm not crying, you're crying.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson showed up to two screenings of his new film, DC League of Super-Pets, surprising—and delighting—audiences.

Johnson shared a sizzle reel of the events on his Instagram, writing, “Stuff like this will always be the best part of my job. I LOVE surprising audiences of our @sevenbucksprod films, but this #DCSuperPets screening surprise was special.”

The Rock has a history of surprising audiences of his films, but for the opening week of Super Pets, he decided to do it a bit differently.

The actor initially hid his identity, dressing up as Krypto, his character from the film. He entered the auditorium in a big white dog suit, waving at the cheering crowd. Eventually, he removed the character head and sent the crowd into hysterics. ”Are you okay? I see you crying up there,” he said to one woman.

After hyping up the film and welcoming all of the families, he called one out, in particular. Upon inviting the Hernandez family to the front, he shared the kids’ long-time desire for a pet dog, joking, “I’m here. You can take me home,” before disappearing to get them “something special”—their new rescue puppy, Quail.

Along with co-star, Kevin Hart, The Rock partnered with Best Friends Animal Society, which helped make the surprise possible.

And his kindness didn’t stop there; he also provided the entire audience with free popcorn and soda, salted ice cream, and, for parents, a tequila bar.
