Easy Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe for Dogs Is a Winter Game-Changer

There's nothing better than a big bowl of homemade soup on a cold winter day, especially for those of us living in places that are experiencing below average temps this year. Taking our pets out to play in the cold and the snow makes coming in to a hot bowl of hearty soup even more enjoyable, so when I found this recipe for dog-friendly chicken noodle soup, I knew I had to share it!

The Husky Fam shared the recipe in mid-January 2024, and not only is it easy to make, but it also sounds delicious! The best part of this video is how the pup helps mom make the soup by taste testing everything going into it!

What a healthy and yummy soup recipe! @The Husky Fam shares the recipe ingredients in the caption if you'd like to make it for your pup. Mom also mentions that you don't have to include the noodles and the soup would still be just as yummy. Commenters approved of the recipe, and several pointed out that you could use bone broth instead of water. @Bianca also advised, "Chop veggies as small as possible. I even blend in the food processor. They have small, short digestive tracks. They will absorb more nutrients from the veggies the smaller they are!" I agree with @iz-uh-bel who said, "You have a cute sous-chef!" and I couldn't help but laugh at @A who added, "That dog's eating better than me LOL!"

Making Homemade Treats and Meals for Your Pup

If you enjoy cooking, it might be fun to make homemade food that your dog can eat. And like this husky your dog will enjoy helping, and so will the kids! Not only is it enjoyable for all, but it can be very cost effective too. You also know exactly what your dog is getting and can add the things that your dog likes to eat. Many commenters mentioned that their dogs don't like chicken - sub in a different protein instead. Others said their dogs didn't like one specific veggie which is no big deal just leave it out and add another. What's great about making your own dog treats and food is that you are in control of what goes in, or stays out, of the recipe!

If your dog has dietary restrictions or allergies, make sure to do some research on each recipe before you make them for your pup, and consult your vet if necessary. Pet Helpful shares a ton of quick and easy dog-approved recipes, and I've got a few favorites, too. This 5-ingredient dog food recipe that you cook in a crockpot is a meal any dog would enjoy. The Husky Fam also shared a recipe for pumpkin pie poppers that sounds so yummy I'd try them too! And don't forget about your cat; these cat treats can be made in the kitchen, too.

There are so many recipes out there if you're interested in trying them out. My favorite place to find them is on Pinterest - people get very creative when it comes to feeding their pets!
