First, we were told that cheese has some serious anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting powers, and now another team of heroes researchers has basically given us permission to munch on our favorite food every day.

Writing in the European Journal of Nutrition, the researchers argued that cheese contains beneficial ingredients like calcium, protein and probiotics.

But before you go ahead and bust out the fondue, the study’s authors were quick to point out that the people who had the lowest risks for heart disease and stroke were those who consumed approximately 40 grams of cheese a day (that’s about the size of a matchbook, not an entire wheel of Brie).
