American actor and comedian Nika King went viral on social media for a section of her stand-up set, which highlights some of the issues in the film and television industry.

King, who plays Leslie Bennett in Euphoria, said people come up to her to say, "We need season three [of the series]", to which she says, "I need season three. I haven't paid my rent in six months".

Met with laughter, King continued saying, "Y'all laughing, and I'm serious".

"I haven't booked nothing since Euphoria," she said. "I thought my career was on the rise. After Euphoria, I thought I was good. It don't work that way".

Hundreds of fans were quick to respond on social media, noting the absurdity of King not being hired in more roles since her turn in Euphoria.

King currently has two upcoming projects listed on IMDb, a short film titled The Rebel Girls and a feature film from director Joshua Weigel titled Possum Trot.

Her last credit was Euphoria.
