Mowry shared her travel tips with us, so we're sharing them with you!

There are a few things that can make or break a good vacation—having your must-haves on hand, being with the right people, and keeping some game-changing travel hacks in your back pocket to whip out when needed!

Over the years, Tia Mowry has learned a thing or two about how to make travel easier—whether by yourself, with your family, or with a group—and we spoke with the actress recently to get the inside scoop to share with our Parade readers.

First things first: when it comes to traveling, organization is key! According to the Family Reunion star, everything having a designated place is absolutely necessary to save time and energy so that "if something were to come up and you needed that item, you know exactly where it is."

Aside from keeping things organized, what's one thing she definitely doesn't want to be caught away-from-home without? The convenience of a good rewards credit card that can be used for all purchases on-the-go. For that reason, the actress has partnered with Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card to gift a few lucky entrants the voyage of a lifetime.

The Boundless Bucket List Contest was "created to inspire people to get out," Mowry noted, further pointing to the idea that post-pandemic, now is the perfect time to jet-set.

For the contest, three winners will have the opportunity to travel to one of their bucket-list destinations. In addition to the trip itself, the prize will also include complimentary dining experiences and hotel stays. To enter, create a Pinterest board of your desired location and submit a video or essay explaining why this trip could change your life.

For the Sister, Sister alum, travel is something that altered her world-view perspective, and she now makes it a point to encourage others to do the same when possible. "It makes me not become so narrow-minded and teaches me how to grow and learn," she admitted, adding, "The more we get out and learn and grow, the better we become as human beings; you have better human beings, you have a better world to live in."

An avid traveler, seeing the world has, admittedly, impacted her deeply, even changing her as a person. "To be around different experiences that I didn't grow up seeing, it really shaped me into the human that I am today," she said.

The mom-of-two—Cree, 11, and Cairo, 4—also shared some game-changing hacks for hitting the road with kids.

In addition to making sure all digital devices are charged up and ready-to-go the night before, downloading the children's favorite programs ahead of time (because let's be honest—relying on WiFi is just not a viable option) is something she attributes to smooth sailing while the tots are in tow.

For eating, there's one tip that she has learned is invaluable. "Bring utensils that your children use. That's something that you wouldn't necessarily think of," Mowry suggested. "When you're traveling, you don't always have access to smaller utensils. It's about making the experience a nice experience for your children."

Last but not least, the actress advises booking flights around times that are conducive to your family's specific schedule. "Follow your child's sleeping patterns. That is what's really important, too!" she offered.

When speaking about taking her little ones—who she referenced as her favorite travel buddies—along for adventures, she noted that having them by her side makes her feel so "fulfilled as a mother" because "they are so much fun."

"I love seeing them see things for the first time," Mowry said, adding that it "makes the experience incredible."

In terms of must-haves, there are a few things the star absolutely cannot be without, and they're so common, that neither should you! "Water is extremely important when you travel, and I think it's so underrated. You have to stay hydrated!"

Immunity-boosting supplements are also useful to have on hand through your journeys: Vitamin C and Oil of Oregano, specifically, per the Instant Mom alum.

In other obvious necessities—snacks! (Both for the kids and herself). "Not all the time healthy snacks are available on the plane," so she always brings her own, and we think that's a pretty good practice to adopt. She advises keeping everything neat and compartmentalized with her favorite bento boxes.

It's never too late to take your talents to a new place, so plan to get up and get out! The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Bucket List contest kicks off Sept. 8 at 9 AM. For full details on how to enter, you can find all the information right here!
