Famous Rescue Pit Bull Melts Hearts By Refusing to Leave the Veterinarian's Office

When it comes to dogs and veterinarians, it's only natural to expect a love-hate relationship. But let's be honest--who loves going to the doctor? Feeling nervous and afraid is only natural, even if you're basically a pro at getting shots, but some vet offices go above and beyond to make sure everyone--especially your dog--is comfortable.

Despite what stereotypes may have led dog owners to believe, one special dog flat-out refused to leave her vet's office after a more than successful visit. Miss Peaches is a famous pup on the Internet, but she's even more popular in real life! When you see the way the vet techs look at her, it's so much easier to understand why she wants to stay!

Aww! This sweet little Pit Bull is a social butterfly, and she wasn't ready to say goodbye and let her social meter drain yet. I can't blame her! As an introvert, it can take a while for me to even open up around new people, and I have a feeling Miss Peaches is the same way. There are certainly days when I feel like I'd rather be alone 24/7, but there are other days when I need to soak up every ounce of positivity and attention I can get.

I'm glad that I'm the only one who's never quite seen a phenomenon like this. @jenns.wrld confirmed, "I've never seen a doggie that does not want to leave the vet! Usually, my Poodle mix is scratching on the door to the lobby before I can even see him, and from there, he's ready to go home! Luckily, Miss Peaches has a lot more patience than most dogs, and she'd rather stay right where she is in the center of attention.

Why Do Dogs Hate the Vet?

It's a 'tail' as old as time. Dogs get anxious, shut down, and even panic before a vet appointment, and it's safe to assume that they know exactly where they're going. After all, our furry friends can be good at connecting the dots in patterns of behavior and location, so if you only bring your dog in the car to take them to the vet, for example, they'll begin to get nervous every time you bring them in the car!

Dogs also don't have the same language skills that humans do, so we don't have effective ways to explain to dogs what goes on at a vet appointment. It's no wonder why they remember the scary parts, like getting puppy vaccines and being held in uncomfortable positions.

In Miss Peaches' case, though, she can't get enough of these meetings with her friends. She's already looking forward to her next check-up!
