Fan-Favorite McDonald's Dessert Is Back for a Limited Time

McDonald’s may be best known for its burgers, nuggets, and fries, but customers love one thing above all else—the handheld pies.
The Baked Apple Pie is a staple on the Sweets and Treats menu, but there’s an unmatched excitement when a new or returning flavor graces menus.
The franchise previously capitalized on pie popularity with the brief return of Pumpkin and Crème and the Holiday Pie, and now, it’s bringing back a flavor ready to usher in the summer months.
Fans are rejoicing over rumblings that their fan-favorite pie is finally coming back to menus—and we’re obviously talking about the Strawberry & Crème Pie!
While McDonald’s has yet to confirm the news officially, AllRecipes reports that they’ve been spotted appearing at select restaurants nationwide.
The handheld pie was initially introduced in 2012 to rave reviews before disappearing from menus in 2014 and making a brief return in 2022 and the years since during various seasons.
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the pie—made with strawberries and vanilla flavored crème and baked side by side in a sugar-coated flaky crust—is the perfect way to anyone’s heart.
Snackolator also teased the return on social media, with one fan writing, "These smack so hard y’all can’t tell me NOTHING," and another noting, "The best one!"
The 280-calorie pies will be available for a limited time at select participating locations only, so be sure that you’re checking your McDonald's app to see if it appears at a restaurant near you.
Strawberry has been a preferred choice of the fast food chain recently, having added a Strawberry Shortcake McFlurry in April. Fans of the fruit can also order a Strawberry Shake or Strawberry Banana Smoothie at any time!
