Fans Rally Around LeAnn Rimes After She Shares Heartbreaking News on Instagram

Singer LeAnn Rimes is mourning the loss of her stepfather, Ted Miller, and fans are flooding her with support during this difficult time. The 41-year-old singer shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, saying she is "forever grateful" for his presence in her life.

LeAnn's mother, Belinda Butler, divorced her father, Wilbur Rimes, in 1997. LeAnn and Wilbur have had a tumultuous relationship. She sued him for fraud in 2000 and he filed a countersuit, but the two have since reconciled. According to CMT, LeAnn's mom, Belinda Butler, married Ted Miller, a photographer and old family friend, in 2003.

LeAnn shared the news of Ted's passing with a photo of her and her stepfather, and a photo of her mother with Ted. She wrote, "goodbye, ted. rest well! your joy and childlike heart will forever be ingrained on mine. you encouraged me to be nothing but a kid when i had the whole world of adult expectations on my shoulders. you gave me a space to play and be loved in the fullness of my being and for that, i am forever grateful. i won the lottery when it came to stepdads!!! i love you… forever!"

Fans left hundreds of supportive messages. One wrote, "Sending my sincerest condolences, love and prayers to you, Belinda and all who loved him. My heart breaks for you all. 😢🙏🫶." Another said, "Sad to hear, prayers 🙏 for Mama B and all the family- when you hurt, we hurt. 😞" One commenter posted, "What a beautiful tribute and I’m so very sorry for your loss. 💜💜💜"

LeAnn concluded her post by saying, "all ted wanted was for silent night by mannheim steamroller to be played in his honor. join me in playing it tonight. he would be thrilled! he loved christmas 🎄 as much as me!!"
