Jun. 6—The United Table series returns in June with two food-related events.

On Tuesday, a family-friendly movie and dinner are on the menu for the next Food on Film pairing between The United and the Owl and Dove restaurant.

People can start their night at Owl and Dove in Pawcatuck, where owners Heather and Benjamin Sherman have put together a "Ponyo"-inspired special menu of Little Fish Sticks; Soft Shell Crab Curry Katsu; "It's Ham" Sandwiches, and "It's Haaaaaaaaaam!" Ramen.

Then they can head over to The United for a 7 p.m. showing of "Ponyo," which centers on the friendship between 5-year-old Sosuke and a magical goldfish named Ponyo, the young daughter of a sorcerer father and a sea-goddess mother.

Dinner reservations can be made at owlanddovect.com. Movie tickets can be purchased for $10 at unitedtheatre.org. Owl and Dove is located at 1 West Broad St., Pawcatuck. The United is located at 5 Canal St. in downtown Westerly.

On June 15, whelks, periwinkles and slipper limpets will be on the United Table for the next program in conjunction with Eating With the Ecosystem. "What's up Gastropod?" will be held at 7 p.m. at The United.

A panel will explain how they are fishing for, studying and preparing these local and sustainable mollusks. Following the panel, participants will get a free beer or wine along with a taste of some of the delicious gastropods from the region.

Tickets are $25 at unitedtheatre.org.
