Former Impractical Jokers co-host Joe Gatto gave fans a glimmer of hope that he might someday return to the hit series. Gatto left the improvisational hidden camera show, which he hosted with Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, and Sal Vulcano, after nine seasons. A 10th season hosted by Quinn, Murray, and Vulcano premiered in February. Speaking with Scheana Schay on her podcast Scheananigans, Gatto told fans he’ll “never say never” when it comes to reuniting the cast.

“It was a decade of my life. It was a big part of my life for a while,” Gatto reflected. “I miss working for my friends, of course, what a job that is, right?”

Gatto was cautious in his statements but made it clear there was no reason he wouldn’t want to reunite with his buddies. “I’ll never say never. I don’t see it in the immediate future, but I love creating with them,” he said. “We are friends, so I don't see why it might not happen at a different point. It’s just not in the cards for me, or them, or us, right now.”

While a television reunion may be far off, Gatto seemed more excited about the possibility of the quartet reuniting for a live performance. “I think on stage might happen first. [It’s] easier because you’re in charge of that. You don't have to sign off on a new show or whatever, you just get out there and do it.”

After departing Impractical Jokers, Gatto began performing stand-up comedy around the country. He admitted the transition from group improv to solo performance has been difficult. The process of creating and executing content by himself has reminded him how much fun he had with his friends.

“To be talking for an hour by yourself up there instead of a collaboration is different, and also creating the content is different,” Gatto explained. “And I love touring with the guys, we all love touring together. It makes it a little less lonely.”
