Here’s How to Get Free McDonald’s French Fries for the Rest of 2024

McDonald’s is gifting U.S. customers an early Christmas present. In an effort to combat backlash to elevating prices, the fast food chain is launching Free Fries Fridays.

Every Friday from June 21 through the remainder of 2024, users of the McDonald’s app can score a free medium French fries with any purchase of $1 or more. That means customers have 27 opportunities, starting today, to take advantage of Free Fries Fridays.

But that’s not the only free fries deal McDonald’s is pushing this summer. In a bid to ease the summer heat, Mickey D’s is celebrating National French Fry Day on July 13 by giving away a free French fries of any size with no purchase necessary.

To reiterate: Free fries. Any size. No purchase necessary. On July 13.

You can download the McDonald's app to take advantage of these great deals and other offers.

McDonald’s is also officially debuting its much-debated $5 value meal on June 25 at restaurants nationwide. It’s yet another bid to woo back customers after the chain’s increasing prices chased some away. For a time, it was unclear how many locations (if any) would offer the value meal. The chain is competing with Burger King, which recently debuted its own $5 meal deal.

For just $5, customers can pick up their choice of a McDouble or McChicken sandwich along with a small French fries, four-piece chicken McNuggets, and a soft drink. You can grab the deal at your local restaurant beginning next Tuesday, June 25.

McDonald’s has modified its menu significantly in response to price backlash. Earlier this year, the chain announced they were developing a “larger, satiating” burger aimed at competing with heftier, more satisfying offerings at competitive chains like Five Guys and Shake Shack.
