Furry Friends: Kind Kendall searching for a home

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) —  Each week WFXR News highlights adoptable pets filling up animal shelters across Southwest and Central Virginia.

This week, on Tuesday, June 18, Stephanie Wright with the Franklin County Animal Shelter introduced Kendall to Furry Friends!

Furry Friends: Marshmallow melts hearts

Kendall is around three years old. She had been surviving on her own for over a year. When the Franklin County Animal Shelter finally caught her, she was in rough shape.

However, Kendall has made a complete turnaround. Her fur is growing back and she’s more sociable. She even walks well on a leash. Once she gets to know you, she’ll let out her playful side. She loves car rides, going on walks, and belly rubs.

Kendall would fit in any loving household. She has done well with other dogs, cats, and children. While Kendall can be shy at first glance, Wright recommends taking her on a walk or sitting down on the floor with her during a meet-and-greet. She’ll show you how sweet she is once she warms up to you.

Kendall’s adoption is sponsored, so there’s no fee. She is all set to head to her forever home!
