Gas station or pizza parlor? Wawa adds pizza to its ever-growing portfolio of food options

If the thought ever crossed your mind that there are already way too many pizza places in this world, the friendly folks at Wawa want to erase that thought from your mind.

Wawa has added pizza to its portfolio of food options, which is big news here in Florida where there are more than 250 of the convenience stores and gas stations.

The addition of pizza on the Wawa menu commenced in early June. A July 25 press release from the Pennsylvania-based company announced its full launch of Wawa Pizza at more than 900 locations.

  • How big are the Wawa pizzas? 14- and 16-inches (a select number of stores only have personal-sized pies at this time).

  • When can I buy Wawa pizza? Wawa Pizza will be available from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. in stores that are open 24 hours.

  • How much are Wawa pizzas? Prices for Wawa Pizza start at $12.99 per pie.

  • How can I order Wawa pizza? Customers can order in store via touchscreen kiosks or in advance via the Wawa mobile app.

  • How long will it take to get my Wawa pizza? Touchscreens caution patrons that the fresh pizzas will come with around a 20-minute wait. Those who want to grab and go do have the option to submit a mobile order.

  • What is Wawa pizza made of? All Wawa Pizza is built to order in store using Wawa’s freshly made dough, proprietary pizza sauce, whole milk, mozzarella, and more.

  • Where is Wawa pizza made? The pizzas are baked in dedicated pizza ovens that have been added to most Wawa locations.

  • What kind of Wawa pizza is on the menu? Currently, Wawa is offering several pizza varieties, including plain, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and veggie – with expanded options to come in the future.
