Who's that girl? It's definitely not Jess! Zooey Deschanel just debuted a completely new hairstyle on her Instagram. The New Girl star is known for sporting her sitcom character's brown hair and straight-across bangs, so this post kind of threw everyone for a loop. Her bold choice def paid off though—she looks amazing!

"Who's she?" Zooey captioned her two mirror selfies. The star's new hair was looking super voluminous and curly, and I have to say her makeup is also popping off! A lot of fans made New Girl-centric puns in the comments, calling back to Zooey's most iconic character, Jessica Day.

"That's certainly a new girl," one fan wrote. Another likened the actress to a new fictional character. "She's everything, he's just Ken," they wrote. ICYDK, that's the tagline for the new Barbie movie. I think this fan is calling it right. Zooey is giving total Barbie vibes!

It looks like Zooey could've taken on this new look for a role, considering the photos appear to have been snapped in a dressing room. If I had to guess, this may be a glimpse at her character for Apple TV's Physical, since she's set to appear in Season 3, and the look seems a bit 1980s-inspired. Time will tell!

With a hair change that would cause this much commotion, you can bet that Zooey has a very specific hair routine. The What Am I Eating? star told CNN in 2022 that she uses the Vegamour Gro revitalizing shampoo.

"It’s supposed to clear your scalp up. I’ve been using it for the past couple months,” she said. "I like it."
