Hailey Bieber's Silver French Manicure Is an Instant Classic

There are many, many things Hailey Bieber does well—skincare, makeup, modeling, fashion, you name it. However, despite all that servitude she gives us, her iconic manicures hold a special place in our hearts above the rest. Whether it's her trend-setting glazed donut mani, edgy black onyx nails, sweet "Fruity Pebbles" look, or futuristic "Mirror Glaze" looks, they are always top-tier. So, obviously, her most recent manicure was sure to be a hit.

On January 30, Bieber finally let us in on the last snippets of her 2023 with Rhode, which involved some glamorous photos by the beach from her newly released Pineapple Refresh cleanser campaign.

Though the post was as moody and aesthetically pleasing as you would expect from Bieber, it was the nails she showed off in a handful of photos that we couldn't take our eyes off of. Along with the superstar's signature, go-to style—medium length and almond shaped—she wore the perfect, slightly edgy metallic French tip to go with her beachy outfits.

The base of Bieber's nails all matched with the same all-natural shine. A perfect "your nails but better" hue, they provided a simple and healthy base for the metallic tint to pop. Forming right where the nails extended past her fingers, the metallic tip started. The perfect light silver chrome color, the tips were highly reflective, shining from the camera flash in the photo. Not glittery silver, not pure chrome, just plain, bright silver.

Throughout the post, she wore the manicure with furry bikinis, fur boots, cute graphic t-shirts, and a thick statement headband as she posed with models on the beach at night. Of course, she also had the perfectly dewy skin, flushed cheeks, and freckles that have become her signature look.

First, as with any nail look, remove any lingering nail polish with nail polish remover. Then, cut and file your nails to the desired length and shape. After that, buff the surface for an even nail bed before applying your favorite base coat.

Then, it's time for the French tips. For the base, you can either just leave the base coat, or you could reach for something like Essie's Ballet Slippers ($11) for a neutral glossy base. Either way, wait for the base layer to dry, then create the shape of your French tip with tape. With the shape finished, paint a color like Côte's Molten Metal ($18) over the top, peel the tape, and let dry. Then, finish off with a high-shine top coat, and you will be matching with Bieber.
