Halsey Discovered Their Breast Milk Is The Perfect Ingredient To Their Beauty Regimen

When it comes to beauty, nothing really surprises me anymore when I hear about ingredients people use to restore their skin and hair. From eggs and mayonnaise hair masks to vampire facials (a blood-based skin treatment), I've seen it all.

So, when Halsey revealed in a recent Nylon interview that she added breast milk to their personal beauty regimen, I was less shocked and more intrigued.

Since welcoming their son Ender with partner Alev Aydin in July 2021, Halsey's skincare routine has completely changed.

"I've always been really conscious about what goes on my skin," Halsey told Nylon. "But when your baby is kissing you or snuggled up against you, you become hyper-cognizant of what's on your face."

The "Die for Me" singer said Biologique Recherche's colostrum VG serum was a go-to product when she first had Ender. But as she started breastfeeding, Halsey noticed something else that worked really well for their skin.

"I started breastfeeding and I figured out that breast milk is the best skincare ingredient ever!"

"It's so full of antioxidants," Halsey said. "And good fats and stuff that speed up the healing process.”

You always hear about the benefits breast milk has for babies, but it's interesting to learn how it can aid adults.

Over the past few years, Halsey has broadened their knowledge on healthy and harsh ingredients in beauty products after releasing a multi-dimensional makeup line of their own called About Face.

Also, please note that breast milk isn't the only source of nutrition for children. Breastfeeding is not something all women want to do or can do, so we'd never want to make anyone feel inferior.
