It's safe to say that Drake is one of a kind in the rapping game--especially considering how he rose to fame in the first place. Today, the Canadian rapper turns the big 3-0 and we're celebrating with a roundup of his best dance moves--in GIF form--for your viewing pleasure.

Growing up in his native Toronto, Drake didn't waste any time getting his name out there. In 2001, at the age of 15, he dropped out of high school after landing a major role in the hit TV series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. There, he remained a show regular until 2009, when the series' cast was replaced with all new characters.

It wasn't long, however, until the birthday boy began to make it big in music. In fact, Drake had already begun making demos while he was still starring in Degrassi. In 2006, he released his first album, Room for Improvement. From there, the up-and-coming artist was on the fast track, performing alongside big-name artists like Lil Wayne, whom he toured with in 2008. Not bad for a music biz newbie!

Today, Drake can say for sure that he's made it. Not only has he garnered a major following of loyal fans, but the rapper's also managed to turn out four platinum albums, including his most recent one,Views, which features his signature soft melodies and powerful lyrics.

The artist has also made headlines plenty of times for his on-again-off-again relationship with fellow artist Rihanna, in the most epic will-they-won't-they saga in musical history (don't quote us on that one). Although it seems the duo have called it quits for now, we'll always have Drake's heartfelt speech given to Rihanna as he presented her with the VMA Video Vanguard award this year, and their many song collaborations, including the 2016 hit "Too Good."
