Here’s What’s Up With the ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Memes About Tarantino’s Foot Fetish
As a human being who still has yet to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (give me a break, it literally just came out), I’m avoiding spoilers as best I can. But there’s one lil thing I keep seeing Twitter buzz about...and it’s Quentin Tarantino’s foot fetish. Apparently, the guy’s famous for it, and it’s a whole damn thing.
If you pay close attention while watching any of Tarantino’s movies, you’ll probably notice that there are a bunch of foot shots. Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill both featured Uma Thurman’s feet (he once drank champagne from her Louboutins), and he even made a cameo where he sucked Salma Hayek’s toes in the 1996 movie From Dusk Till Dawn. Honestly, there are too many instances to list. If you really care to know about them all, you should probably know that there are a bajillion videos of Tarantino feet supercuts on YouTube. This isn’t a new thing at all...it’s just maybe news to those of us on Twitter who were too young to even know what a foot fetish is when these films were released.
Anyway, he’s back at it again with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I mean, just watch the trailer. There’s toe action in the first 45 seconds.
Sure, you could argue that it’s the summer of 1969. Shoes seemed...optional? But Twitter is not buying it and is totally roasting Tarantino.

Every review I've seen of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood just confirms it's another Tarantino feet fest

Oh, and for the record, Margot Robbie totally supports this foot fest. She told the Hollywood Reporter that her character, Sharon Tate, “apparently hated wearing shoes and she would sometimes put rubber bands around her ankles to make it look like she was wearing sandals so she could get into restaurants. I feel the same!”
Even the movie’s costume designer, Arianne Phillips, said, “Lots of foot shots in a Quentin Tarantino film!” So...I guess you should prepare to see 2 hours and 45 minutes’ worth of grimy hippie feet.
