Jamie Otis is sharing an emotional pregnancy update.

On Tuesday, the "Married At First Sight" star shared a tearful Instagram post, revealing she and husband Doug Hehner received concerning news during their first ultrasound with the twins they are expecting, following years of fertility struggles.

In a heartfelt Instagram Reel, the 37-year-old documented their visit to the doctor, sharing their initial excitement: "Walking into our first doctor's appointment for the babies. ... We heard the heartbeats and were really excited, and then the doctor came in and said that there's an abnormality."

Hehner added to the sentiment, noting, "Now, it's a waiting game."

The couple now faces a period of uncertainty until further examinations can provide more information, which Otis elaborated on in the caption to her post.

"We were so excited to see both babies and hear both of their heartbeats yesterday," she wrote, alongside a red heart emoji. "But then the doc' showed us there's an abnormality and it needs to be looked at closer by a high-risk doctor."

Despite the worrisome news, the mom-of-two remained hopeful and grateful, focusing on the positives.

"The good news is that there are two babies with strong, healthy heartbeats and they seem to have their own amniotic sacs which makes for an easier pregnancy with twins so we are very thankful for that!" she penned.

She concluded her update with a call for thoughts and prayers, maintaining a hopeful outlook for their next appointment: "We are praying this abnormality will just disappear. God's done some miraculous things and I believe he can do that, too!"

Otis also noted she shared a full-length vlog of her doctor's appointment on YouTube. In the video, which goes into more detail about the abnormality initially detected, Hehner explained:

"There's a lump or a bump on the back of the baby, on the spine. We don't know what that means yet, but it was enough for them to make us aware of it. We'll know more in four weeks."

Otis explained that at their next visit to the doctor, they're going to conduct a "more thorough ultrasound."

"Everything seemed fine up until the doctor came in, basically. We heard the heartbeats, we were really excited."

Otis and Hehner's doctor assured the couple the abnormality is "not a catastrophe," however.

"It's very early. ... It could go away, it could be something that is not uncommon," Hehner added.

Fans met Otis' Instagram post with kind and supportive comments.

"Praying with you! My middle had an abnormality that resolved by the time he was born," one fan shared.

Another wrote: "I'm so sorry for the stress this is causing you both. One moment at a time is all we can do. Sending you all love and strength."

"Just try to stay positive. Any twin pregnancy is stressful, but like you said, focus on baby A and baby B and those heartbeats, someone chimed in.

"I'm a momma of twins and early on they said the same thing to me. My girls are now 16 and perfectly healthy. I pray you have the same outcome," a commenter shared.

Otis announced her third pregnancy last month after struggling with fertility issues over the last three years.

Alongside a photo of negative pregnancy test results and another snap of herself reacting to a positive pregnancy test result, Otis shared, "I'm finally pregnant! I want to scream it from the rooftops!"

"I'm still a bit in shock that we conceived naturally," she confessed.

In November 2022, Otis reflected on her fertility struggles with her fans in a candid and detailed message shared on Instagram.

In a lengthy video of herself and her husband discussing their conception difficulties, she shared, "I have been so tired, and I'm like, 'I must be pregnant. This has got to be it. ... I don't care when we conceive the baby at this point. Just give us the baby."
