Jennifer Lawrence Looks Unrecognizable With Bright Red Hair

Her new hair color will make you do a double take.

Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly on the mend after suffering an eye injury on the set of the star-studded Netflix film Don't Look Up.

According to multiple reports, a "controlled explosion" went wrong when a shard of glass cut Lawrence's eyelid while filming a scene on Friday, in which a glass window was intentionally shattered. "An explosion was set up for a stunt in which glass shatters," a source told Page Six. "It was a stunt in which the glass was supposed to shatter — but it injured her."

TMZ reported that her eyelid "would not stop bleeding," but that the extent of the injury "wasn't that bad." Still, production was paused, as J.Law recovered from the accident.

In the film, Lawrence plays an astronomer alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, who together "must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet earth." For the role, J.Law made a drastic transformation, sporting bright red hair and thick blunt bangs, as well as a nose ring. DiCaprio, for his part, also looked unrecognizable with a beard and glasses.

Aside from Lawrence and DiCaprio, the project is packed with other A-listers, including Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Chris Evans, Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, and Timothée Chalamet. And while a release date for the film has yet to be announced, so far, it appears to be worth the wait.
