Contrary to popular belief, Jesse Plemons did not achieve his incredible weight loss transformation with any anti-obesity drug.

The "Friday Night Lights" actor recently opened up about his weight loss journey, revealing he shed 50 pounds naturally. Surprisingly, the secret weapon behind his transformation did not involve a spartan gym routine.

Jesse Plemons's trimmed-down figure sparked various speculations about how he achieved it, with many speculating he hopped on the Ozempic trend.

During the premiere of his new film, "Kinds of Kindness," Plemons flaunted his incredible new body in a dashing all-black suit, a white shirt, and black shoes. He was all smiles, posing for pictures before revealing the secret behind his weight loss.

Instead of taking Hollywood's shortcut with Ozempic or any other weight loss drug, Plemons changed his eating habits. The actor restricted himself by fasting for a set amount of hours each day, a process known as intermittent fasting.

Raving about how intermittent fasting has positively impacted his life, the 36-year-old said: "Well, I'm not lugging 50 more pounds around." He noted he dropped significant weight through the process "over the course of a year and a half or so."

Plemons, who shares two sons with his wife Kirsten Dunst, cited his children as another reason behind his weight loss journey. "I have much more energy [now] and, like I've said, I've got young kids, so I got to keep up with them," he shared with ET.

In an interview in mid-June, Plemons addressed the speculations about his weight loss milestone stemming from Ozempic usage. He lamented achieving his physical transformation amid the reigning anti-obesity drug, saying:

"It's really unfortunate that I decided to get healthy when everyone decided to take Ozempic. It doesn't matter, everyone's going to think I took Ozempic anyways."

Plemons stressed that he focused on losing weight because he was getting older and could not tolerate his future self being in bad shape. As for why he chose intermittent fasting, the actor told the Los Angeles Times:

"Several people talked to me about intermittent fasting, and I just gave it a shot and [was] surprised at how quickly it was effective. So I lost a little bit before I did that part and then felt like I was in the rhythm. I was feeling better, and something shifted in my head. I just sort of got a handle on it."

A year before his incredible weight loss transformation, The Blast reported that Plemons was still madly in love with his wife before their first wedding anniversary.

He raved about their marriage at the 2023 premiere of his HBO Max show, "Love and Death." He compared his feelings before and after marriage, saying:

"I wasn't sure how different [marriage] was gonna feel because we've been together for a while, and two kids later, it's pretty solid, you know?"

However, after spending nearly a year as a married couple, Plemons realized he was wrong.

"There was something nice about [a wedding] and setting aside time to celebrate it, and it does feel different, in a good way," the actor continued, referencing the couple's intimate wedding in July 2022.
