June 24 is National Pralines Day. Yelp says you'll go nuts for these Savannah spots
One of the best treats you can get in the south is fresh, warm, sweet pralines. They are so popular there's even a National Pralines Day on June 24. Savannah has some incredible sweet shops and bakeries, but which ones are the best for celebrating this nutty holiday?
Here are a few of the top places to get pralines in Savannah, according to Yelp:
Savannah's Candy Kitchen
For more than 40 years, the Strickland family has created and preserved classic Southern sweets, which are offered today at Savannah's Candy Kitchen. The headliner is likely the pralines from the original recipe to the chocolate-covered ones. For peak taste, it's recommended you microwave them for seven seconds.
Here's what one Yelp reviewer said: "My wife had a cup of an excellent chocolate, I had praline cream. Overall, the texture and flavors were very good. Our server was very nice and helpful."

River Street Sweets
Another historic sweet shop, River Street Sweets has been a local hot spot since 1973. The pralines are favorites all by themselves, but they are also paired with bear claws and made into praline bundt cakes. The flagship store is on River Street but there are multiple other locations in the surrounding Savannah area.
Here's what one Yelp reviewer said: "Yummy stuff! You are first greeted by the enticing smells and then they offer you a taste of a praline and you are hooked. Hard to resist the fresh made treats and the prices are not bad for what they are offering. Many novel old timey kinds of candy available also."
Peach Cobbler Factory
Despite what the name may suggest, Peach Cobbler Factory offers more than Peach Cobbler. Among their many cobbler recipes is one for cinnamon praline peach cobbler. There is also a cinnamon praline peach cookie milkshake as well as a peanut butter praline cookie, brownie, cinnamon roll, and Belgian waffle.
Here's what one Yelp reviewer said: "Delicious cobblers...we stopped in Savannah to try this spot and it was definitely worth it...we had the mango and cinnamon praline cobblers...both were great."
