Kai Lenny Accidentally Kills Fish with Surfboard (Clip)

A man of many talents, most of Kai Lenny’s escapades revolve around the ocean.

The dude’s literal middle name is Waterman. So, that’s what he is; he surfs, paddleboards, SUP paddleboards, kite surfs, and pretty much every other ocean activity imaginable, which we’re forgetting now, but most likely, he’s damn good at it.

So, it’s no surprise that even accidentally, Kai is a good fisherman.

During a recent surf session in small waves – no crazy Jaws this time – Kai smacked a fish while executing an air reverse. The fish was stunned, maybe dead. And Kai was able to grab the disabled fish and bring it in to shore for some food later on.

Here’s the (fish) tale from Kai:

“One air reverse later and I killed a fish. Gonna have some fish tacos later.

“I was going down the line, did a big air, hit it [the fish], stunned it, and then…yeah, good eating later. That’s how we do it.

“You know I sat out there so long, I went fishing.”

Kai actually had a fishing adventure somewhat similar not too long ago. He was in Fiji, on Namotu Island, when he decided to troll for fish via hydrofoil.

"We're on a mission to get a fish on that, that hook right there," Kai said, pointing to the fish weighing station on the island.

"We want it to weigh at least 60 kilos. Namotu Island Bluewater game and sport fishing, we're about to join the club!"

He caught a fish, but he did not join the club.

Ironic that, when he doesn’t try, he accidentally catches something bigger.
